RICHMOND BEAUTY SALON IS LATEST STAR OF TED LASSO

A Richmond beauty salon called Si Belle will have a starring role in Series Four of the award-winning Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso, Teddington Town can reveal.
Filming of the show took place for four hours today (Tues) with a procession of crew and camera and lighting equipment being shipped to and from the salon in pouring rain in King Street.
Despite the flurry of activity inside and outside the salon local retailers and passers-by did not spot any of the familiar Ted Lasso cast, which include glamorous Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, the owner of AFC Richmond. The salon declined to discuss the filming.
The Prince’s Head pub on Richmond Green made world-famous by the show was once again transformed into The Crown & Anchor with a change of pub sign and closed to customers all day.
The show’s creator Jason Sudeikis, who plays football coach Ted Lasso, was spotted briefly walking swiftly from a blacked out people carrier with a rucksack in his back entering the nearby Cricketers pub, which was also closed to accommodate crew and supporting artists.
Across Richmond Green another team set up a filming base outside the mansion called Pembroke Villas which features as Rebecca’s home in the series and was used for internal filming today.
The latest location filming comes amid increasing speculation that several of the male footballers, who appeared in the first three series, will have ‘cameo’ roles in Series Four, which tells the story of an AFC Richmond Women’s team and is likely to launch during the FIFA World Cup in the US this summer.
