POLICE FIND ABANDONED CAR LINKED TO JEWELLERY SHOP ROBBERY

Police today revealed an ‘abandoned vehicle’ has been found close to the scene of the jewellery robbery in Paved Court, Richmond.
It will be examined for forensics. CCTV and house to house enquiries are being made, according to a police update.
The robbery in broad daylight at about 1030am on Saturday morning by two masked men, was witnessed but a group of bystanders and local shopkeepers and clear video footage can be seen across social media.
Police say: “If you have any footage whether that be on your phone or ring door bell, please inform one of the officers in scene.”
In a statement today the family-owned business said: “Yesterday, Saturday 31st January, our family shop was raided.
“We’re shaken but thankfully, we are all ok. The well wishes, support and kindness we’ve received from our wonderful customers, neighbours and passers by has been overwhelming,
“Thank you. All customers items were and remain securely locked in our safes. We are closed but will reopen later this week. Greg, Margaret, Rebecca & Tilly.”
