RUGBY DOUBLE-ACT BRINGS THE HOUSE DOWN IN TEDDINGTON

SporTedd – the local community group raising funds for local sport-themed projects – broke new ground with an impromptu auction at an event attended by rugby stars Lawrence Dallaglio and Rob Henderson.
Over 80 guests attended the first SporTedd dinner of the year at The Wharf restaurant and lapped up the storytelling of the rugby double-act, especially so soon after what has been described as the ‘best Six Nations ever’ with Ireland picking up the Triple Crown and France topping the table.
The traditional raffle and Rob’s generous auction of two tickets for Ireland v France and offer of two golf sessions with him and Lawrence combined to raise over £6000 – a record for any SporTedd event.

Guests were told by SporTedd Chair Trevor Alldridge that SporTedd had raised and donated over £125000 to local sport-themed projects including clubs and schools.
