AIR AMBULANCE SUPPORTS MEDICS AFTER LIGHTNING STRIKE

A man was taken to hospital yesterday after being struck by lightning during thunderstorms which hit the local area.
The air ambulance helicopter landed at East Molesey Cricket Club but the unidentified man was taken to Kingston Hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service told Teddington Town: “We were called at approximately 14.38 on Tuesday 2 June following concerns after reports of a lightning strike at East Molesey Cricket Club in Graburn Way, East Molesey.
“Crews attended the incident including a critical care paramedic and were joined at the scene by the London Air Ambulance Charity.
”A patient was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Kingston Hospital by ambulance for further medical treatment.”
An official from the Club said: “We would prefer not to comment to protect the privacy of those involved.”
