PLAN FOR CONCERTS TO BE HELD AT BRENTFORD’S GTECH STADIUM
Brentford Football Club is exploring hosting up to six live music events each year at their Gtech Community Stadium, it has ben revealed.
The concerts would be held over weekends in the summer months, when the pitch isn’t being used for football. The stadium has a capacity of 24000 for football matches and a 11pm curfew would be imposed.
“We have a strong track record of managing attendees safely at the Gtech, and we would apply that same experience, expertise, and operational planning to a small number of concerts each year,” said the Premier League Club.
“The concerts would make use of the existing stadium, with no building works or permanent changes required. They will require permission from Hounslow Council, and we will agree limits on timings and noise as well as clear plans for transport, stewards, toilets and litter.
Brentford is planning to hold their events at the weekend during June and July, between football seasons, starting from 2027, subject to approval from the London Borough of Hounslow.
The Twickenham stadium now known as Allianz is in volved in a long and bureacratic process to secure permission from Richmond Council for more big events to create extra revenue and support an ambition rebuilding programe.
The spokesperson said: “At the Gtech we have the opportunity to introduce a professionally managed, medium-scale concert destination for west London, bringing new cultural experiences to the local area, supporting local shops, restaurants, and hospitality businesses and attracting new visitors to Brentford.
“We are holding two public drop-in events for our neighbours, supporters and the wider community to find out more about our proposal to host concerts at the Gtech. Come along to meet the project team and ask any questions you might have.”
