BUSHY PARK PHOTOGRAPHER SHARES PRECIOUS MEMORY OF BILL ODDIE
Keen Bushy Park photographer Cathy Cooper has shared a personal memory of comedian and wildlife supporter Bill Oddie, who died earlier this week, aged 85.
She told Teddington Town: “Sad to just hear that Bill Oddie has died.
“Besides being a great comedian, he was also a dedicated birder and champion of wildlife.
“I met him once in 2012 at a private view by artist Bruce Pearson who was showing his paintings of the Antarctic.
“I asked Bill to pose with me for a photo in front of one of the paintings then said to him: ‘let’s pretend we are in the Antarctic’.
“So we both shivered with gusto….!
