The Richmond pub at the heart of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso returning series was transformed into the Crown & Anchor yesterday creating a ripple of excitement about new filming.
Plenty of Ted Lasso and Apple TV branding could be clearly seen through the doorway of the pub, normally called the Prince’s Head, which was closed to customers.
Further investigation by Teddington Town revealed that Apple TV had taken over the pub for the day for an ‘influencer’ event. An insider said: “None of the cast were there.”
The excitement coincided with the airing of the second episode of the new series today which focussed on Richmond again and saw Ted Lasso back in the pub and on Richmond Green.
