TEDDINGTON SCHOOL BACKS MIGHTY CONVOY UKRAINE PROJECT
Teddington’s Newland House school has joined the locally-based Mighty Convoy group to support their mission in Ukraine, it was disclosed today.
The private school has donated five white boards which were delivered to school Number 33 in Lviv last week along with the latest convoy of vehicles carrying vital medical supplies and food.
One of the convoy drivers Rob Gilbart also donated another five whiteboards while IT teacher Keith Satchell was responsible for organising the school’s donation for the secondary school.
Mighty Convoy founder Simon Brake said: “We are delighted to receive support from a local school like Newland House – our missions are making such an enormous difference to those trying to live anything like a normal day to day life.”
Cambridge Road-based Mighty Convoy has completed 26 missions since the conflict began and delivered over 100 vehicles including second hand ambulances and pick up trucks.
