RICHMOND ART SOCIETY TO STAGE WINTER EXHIBITION IN TEDDINGTON
Richmond Art Society has announced its winter exhibition will take place at Teddington’s Landmark Arts Centre.
The event is set for Friday, November 27, to Sunday, November 29, showcasing a wide selection of artwork by society members.
The exhibition will begin with a special open evening from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, November 27 with a bar available.
It is open to the public on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is free and all are welcome whether regular supporters of the society, seasoned art enthusiasts or those simply looking for something enjoyable to do over the weekend.
The event offers visitors the opportunity to experience original artwork from local artists and meet members of the Society.
The Society’s shows typically include over a hundred works on the walls, plus sculptures and ceramics.
Visitors can expect to see oils, watercolours, acrylics, mixed media, collages, drawings, pastels and prints as well as photographs, and among the prints there will be etchings, drypoint, screenprints and monoprints.
And in addition there are likely to be another hundred artworks in the ‘browser’ display stands.
All the works are for sale and prices are very reasonable, but there is no pressure and visitors are encouraged just to come and enjoy the displays.
And, says the society, perhaps also to discover many good reasons why they might like to join the society.
