This course will cover the depiction of butterflies in a range of media. Observation techniques and accurate drawing methods employed in illustration will be c overed. Capturing patterns on a butterflies wings can be a mesmerising pas s time! The course will include looking at some real specimens and books t o see the amazing variety of butterflies and also to understand a little b it about these beautiful flying insects.\n\n \;\n\nStudents will learn how to choose a subject and sketch it loosely at first using pastels on c oloured paper. We will then learn how to draw a butterfly more accurately and to scale using a graphite pencil.
