SUMMERTIME! Classical concert
Teddington Summer Music presents a concert of wind music given by the London Dvorak Ensemble, which includes some of London’s finest musicians.
The programme starts with Mozart’s sunny Serenade in Eb – one of the greatest works for wind instruments – and is followed by arrangements of two of popular pieces, Grieg’s Holberg Suite and music from Gershwin’s opera Porgy and Bess. The concert ends with Hummel’s irresistibly tuneful and cheerful Partita in Eb.
St Mary with St Alban Church, close to Teddington Lock, is the perfect venue for a summer evening concert, with its excellent acoustic and intimate atmosphere. Drinks will be served in the interval in the adjacent church hall.
