Talitha Walk to Freedom 2016
Local charity Talitha Arts will be running a sponsored walk on the 11th September 2016 to raise much needed funds to support their work in India, Bolivia and here in the UK.
Walkers will set out from Hampton Court Palace and complete either a 7km or 30km walk along the Thames Path. With a prize for the wackiest outfit it promises to be a fun day as well as raising sponsorship that will enable to team to continue with their valuable work.
The funds raised will go to support work such as our forthcoming trip to Bolivia, where we will be delivering a program for women and children affected by prostitution as well as at-risk children and teenagers from La Paz; and continuing our work with residents at Dalemead a residential home in Twickenham and women at The Gaia Centre in Lambeth.
Last year the walkers managed to raise £3,000 we really hope we can beat that target this year.
