La Dolce Vita opened for business in August 2009, replacing the Postbox, a french restaurant and have been serving Teddington ever since. Massimo and Maurizio are the two business owners, and the everyday figures running around in this cozy little place.

Massimo Bianco is the very prepared headchef, with over ten years of experience in high-class West-End restaurants, he makes fresh pasta, lasagna, cannelloni, fresh bread and pizza bake, and also cakes, pies and limoncello, the traditional lemon liqueur.

Maurizio Pagano is the front of house manager, with a very charming and bubbly personality. He comes from many years of experience as a professional waiter in the Hilton Cavalieri Rome, before moving to London ten years ago, and improving his resume also working as a chef and headchef in many Italian and French restaurants in London.

Massimo and Maurizio are both from Anguillara, a little town on the Bracciano lake, not too far from Rome. They share the same great taste for Italian quality food, and after many years of friendship, they found themselves together running a high-hopes first class Italian restaurant in Teddington.

The name La Dolce Vita derives from the 1960’s movie directed by Federico Fellini, an iconic portrait of the Rome of the Italian economic boom, and translates as “The sweet life”. Many references of this movie and other cinematic artworks can be found on the walls of the restaurant.

Massimo has a pear and a lemon tree in his garden. That’s why he always bakes a delicious pear and almonds strudel, a pear and chocolate pie, and he also does an extra-strong homemade limoncello liqueur which is highly requested by diners.

absolutely fabulous night, I went there with some friends and I spent a very enjoyable night. The food is great, especially the liver (they have two different types on the menu!!) A special mention for the homemade apple strudel. The wine is also good, and very affordable prices on everything. I already booked my Christmas party with them!

This place is the only real italian restaurant in the area, excellent everything in the menu, pizza is very thin and crunchy the best I’ve ever eaten so far in London really
    Congratulations to Massimo the chef

Our family’s favourite restaurant (well…jointly with Diner’s Delight), lovely service and great, authentic Italian food.
