‘Highly positive’ set of results for students

 

An impressive 33% and 47% of students at Teddington School achieved above Level 7 in English and Maths respectively. 23% of all grades awarded sat at Levels 8-9. 38% of grades were between Levels 7-9 and 81% of grades awarded were between Levels 4-9.

A total of 204 students took exams and in 80% of subjects results exceeded national averages.

80% of students achieved L4+ in English and Maths while 47% achieved L&= in Maths and two students achieved 10 L9s and a further 15 achieved 10 grades between L8 and L9.

Over 100 Teddington students have enrolled in the school’s Sixth Form.

According to the school:  “These headlines buck the national trend and exceed the schools pre-pandemic results of 2019.”

It added: “They are a testament to the hard work of the students coupled with the support received from teachers and the whole school community.

“It was a day filled with anticipation, excitement, and jubilation at Teddington School as students gathered to receive their GCSE results.

“Teachers and staff were based at school, creating an encouraging environment for students to collect GCSE results. The five-year journey students embarked upon has culminated in a hugely positive set of results.”

Reflecting on the celebratory day, Paul Grills, Headteacher commented, “Seeing our students’ faces light up with pride and happiness as they received their results was a truly heartwarming experience.

“This day is a testament to their dedication and the exceptional support of our staff.

“We are incredibly proud of each student’s achievements and look forward to witnessing their continued success as many of them move into our 6th form.”
