Stephen Fry on a NPL high
The national treasure, Stephen Fry, visited NPL yesterday to spend a day having his mind further packed with interesting facts whilst viewing a variety of interesting experiments on the campus.
Kind words from his much followed Twitter account:
“Such a good day at the NPL yesterday. So crammed with goodies no time to tweet as I went from dept to dept. Great people, magical place.”
He was particularly in awe of a recreation of the Barnes Wallis bouncing bomb experiment using a pea (“wow”) and also the effects of the different acoustic testing rooms on a balloon pop described as “fantastic“.
