Come and sing for the Princess Alice Hospice
Budding choristers will get an opportunity to sing Handel’s Messiah while raising funds for charity at a concert in Hampton Hill on Saturday. Come & Sing Messiah, part of the worldwide Voices for Hospices fund-raising event, is being held in aid of the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.
The concert will take place at St James’s Church (Hampton Hill) on Saturday 10th October at 7.30pm, with a singers’ rehearsal at 2.30pm. The conductor will be Geoffrey Bowyer MMus, musical director of Teddington Choral Society, which is organising the event in conjunction with the Hospice.
The choir will be accompanied by a total of 17 soloists from various choral societies and an orchestra. Tickets, price £10 (for both singers & audience), are available from the Princess Alice Hospice. Tel: 01372 468811.
The Hampton Hill event is one of several taking place this month to benefit the Princess Alice Hospice. Others include:

• An Organ and Piano Recital by Geoffrey Bowyer at St Mary’s Church, Green Street, Sunbury TW16 6RN, on Saturday 31st October at 7.30pm. The programme will feature works by Purcell, Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn and Beethoven. Tickets £7 (concessions £5).
