Lessons in long-term love from local couple
Teddington couple Janice and Brian (aged 70 and 71 respectively) have been married for 47 years.
They tell their story to the Observer in this article amongst other things how they got together ‘through osmosis’, married in green in a registry office, never had children and went travelling for 7 years.
On marriage Brian says “You have to realise early on that marriage is a partnership” and “the key to having a happy marriage is compromise: give and take.“
