FARA Books Christmas Fair
Parents who bend to their children’s demands of bedtime stories will probably already be familiar with FARA Books (near Tesco). This delightful charity book shop has a comprehensive stock of books on every imaginable subject and a well-renowned children’s section.
To help celebrate the coming of the festive season, families can join staff for story telling and face painting at a special day-long Christmas celebration this Saturday 4th December. Whilst enjoying the wine and mine pies, parents can browse the fabulous selection of books for the young and old and take advantage of the pre-Christmas special offers to get some stocking fillers before the mad Christmas Eve is upon us!
There is also a silent auction of rare old books and you can also try your luck in FARA’s Christmas raffle. Proceeds will go towards helping FARA achieve its mission to transform the lives of some of the poorest & most vulnerable children in Romania.
FARA Books is at 34b Broad Street, Teddington although technically it’s on North Lane. If in doubt, follow the giant pink arrow!
Saturday is a busy day for local events at churches and local schools – Collis Primary and St Mary & St Peters Primary School Christmas Fairs are both being held on this day. Check the events page to see what other festive celebrations are happening in Teddington in the run-up to Christmas.
There is also a chance to pick some antique or modern furniture and help raise funds during an auction at Sacred Heart Church (Kingston Road) from 7:30pm onwards. All furniture was generously donated by the church’s parishioners.
