Landmark set to sizzle

EventsSnow, ice and freezing temperatures make a lovely Christmas card scene, but even snow lovers start to long for warmer days and longer nights. Summer is about to arrive early in Teddington with Viva Latin America! on Saturday March 5th at the Landmark Arts Centre.

A ‘for one day only’ celebration of Latin American music and dance, the event will combine a mix of afternoon dance classes and a fantastic evening music concert. There is something for the little ones too, with a Mexican mask making workshop running from 1pm–3pm, suitable for children 5-12 years and run by our regular Saturday Art Club tutors.

The dancing gets underway at 12.30pm with a Salsa class, followed at 1.45pm by Samba & Lambada and rounding off at 3.15pm with a tango class. All the dance class are suitable for beginners and improvers and although there are ticket discounts for couples, dancers without a partner will be catered for and are also very welcome. Places will be limited on both the mask making and dance classes and early booking is strongly recommended.

At 8pm the live music gets underway with the fantastic Coco Xpress, one of the country’s top salsa bands, guaranteeing to have your toe tapping or maybe even tempt you to get up and dance. Tickets for the evening event cost £12, but if you book for a workshop and the concert at the same time then the concert ticket is only £9 per person.
