Bushy Park cinema this summer
‘Pop-up cinema’ group Nomad has joined Royal Parks to bring outdoor cinema to London parks this summer – screen classics and cult favourites in our beloved green spaces.
As well as the films themselves there will be live music, theatre and other surprises related to the film being screened! Nomad specialises in creating screen locations in picturesque and strange locations – offering new ways of seeing and remembering a range of memorable
films.
Film-goers are advised to bring a blanket or low chairs, a torch and warm clothes in case it gets cold towards the end of the programme, along with a picnic & alcohol if you so wish (refreshments are also available from the company).
Please note that although children are perfectly welcome, the film classification as this will may mean it is not suitable for children of particular ages.
Tickets are £12.50 and screenings for Bushy Park will be (all Thursdays):
Classic Hitchcock The Birds (15) 28th July (doors open 7:30pm, screening 9pm)
Animated masterpiece Spirited Away (PG) 4th August (doors open 7:30pm, screening 8:45pm)
Action-adventure Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG) 25th August (doors open 6:30pm, screening 8:00pm)
Family adventure E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (U) 1st September (doors open 6:30pm, screening 8:00pm)
Richmond Park will also be showing Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. and The African Queen.
[Update] Nomad open-air screenings in Richmond Park were cancelled after complaints were made in advance by local groups and residents. Bushy Park’s line-up also now changed (see above)
