Orchestra Without Frontiers

EventsOrquesta Sin Fronteras (OSF) is a charitable Musical Project based in South West London that organises concerts to support charities as well as communities and individuals in crisis worldwide.

Musicians from all around the world meet to perform as soloists, in chamber groups or in orchestral form to raise money for those in need whilst bringing together local communities at these enjoyable events that bring music outside of the traditional concert hall.

Recently they have supported Jamyang buddhist center, Amrita Dzong, Hampton Football Club, raised funds for the Yushu Earthquake survivors and helped provide urgent medical attention for those in need in Kashmir, among others.

OSF founder Lily Schlaen moved to Teddington two years ago and feels that the borough is eager for more musical events. One such gathering will be taking place at Fitness First on Saturday June 30th at 5pm. Attended by patron Vince Cable, this event will host a mixture of talented musicians from in and around Teddington including four solo violinists, a piano teacher/performer and a singer/songwriter. The gym will be open as usual during the event, just with added musical accompaniment!

The music will be a mixture of classical, jazz and pop music, street dance and belly dancing! Everyone is welcome to attend, the event is free (not a fund-raiser) but an opportunity for local people to connect, network and enjoy the music together. The group are looking forward to performing in and around Teddington in the coming months at venues including NPL and the Lensbury Club.
