Teddington Lights Up 2012 – highlights
Another year, another hugely popular Lights-Up evening!
The cold weather didn’t seem to keep too many fans of Christmas at home and streets were crammed full of gift and freebie hunters. Joining the Teddington School Jazz band this year was Endurance Steel Orchestra and Bollywood dancers with Elvis – all entertaining the crowds well. Reindeer rides raised several hundred pounds for charity and bins soon filled up with mulled wine and snack containers.

Local photographer Trevor Aston took some great photos of the evening and Alan Benns recorded some great highlights of the evening too:
Some feedback from the evening via Twitter:
What an amazing night, proves Teddington people know how to celebrate in style. I love this town!

Loving Teddington Christmas light-up night. We have the BEST local independent shops. I've had a free wine in most 🙂

We had a great evening at TCS with lots of new people checking us out (feeling safe in a crowd because they think we bite!).
It would be lovely to see this sort of buzz (well maybe not quite so many) on the streets of Teddington more often – where does everyone go for the rest of the year??!!
