Events Update

EventsThis Sunday (28th June 2015) sees the return of the popular Teddington Village Fair at Udney Hall Gardens.

From 12-5pm the gardens will be full of fun for all the family: bouncy castles, stalls, food & drink, circus skills workshop, live music, pony rides and The Wonderful World of Mr E.

The colourful Teddington Pram Race is now a regular feature on the calendar – this charity event will see teams of pram-pushers start at The Mason’s Arms at 1pm and finishing at the Village Fair on Sunday.

More details can be found at www.teddpramrace.org.uk including sponsorship info which will benefit the main beneficiary: Teddington and Hampton Wick Voluntary Care.

Art lovers have lots to see this weekend too, over 500 artists will be joining together to open studio doors to the public over 26th-28th June and 3rd-5th of July as part of the borough-wide ARThouse. This is a celebration of the artists and schools that live or work within all corners of the borough and gives visitors the opportunity to see the unique environment in which local art is created and maybe pick-up a bargain or two.

This year will be ARThouse’s twentieth open studios festival and will feature a diverse range of artists including jewellers, photographers, sculptors, bag designers, painters, framers, furniture restorers, film makers, schools and community groups. Exhibitions will be hosted in locations including boathouses, church halls, restaurants, cafes, local businesses, homes, sheds, garden studios, and workshops.

Teddington Artists will also be exhibiting in the NPL atrium this weekend (10am-6pm) with paintings, jewellery, ceramics, photography and textiles on show along with an opportunity to meet the artists in the atrium which is not usually open to the public.
