Rock for Cancer

The Deputy Mayor of Richmond will rock-out for Cancer Awareness this Sunday at an all-day live music charity fundraiser fest.

Six bands and six hours of live music performing different genres from rock and pop to soul & mowtown will take place on the banks of the Thames at Twickenham Rowing Club from 1pm to 7pm.

Organised by the Twickenham Club in Church Street, local bands ‘Roland Rock, Alex Dew, Shelle Luscombe, Atlantic, Susie Brown and Jim Sole will perform live for Breast Cancer Now.

Richmond Council’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Kate Howard, said:

“I’m delighted to support Rock for Cancer and raise awareness of a very important charity in Breast Cancer Now. This is deeply significant to me and my family as my sister recovered recently from a very strong strain of breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy for nearly two years. So it’s really important that people support this charity. It’ll be a great day out so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment. ”

Joe O’Connor, of the Twickenham Club, added:

“We’re delighted that the Deputy Mayor is supporting our event to make it even more special. It’s going to be a great day and lots of good fun.”

Tickets cost £25 and include Hot Indian Food. For ticket information contact Joe O’Connor on 07884 434638 or email joeoconnor727@gmail.com
