Young girl airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a deer in Bushy Park

A seven-year-old girl has been airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a deer in Bushy Park, Teddington. She was taken to hospital with thigh injuries after she was attacked.

The incident took place at Bushy Park late afternoon on Tuesday 24th October. Paramedics and an air ambulance attended the scene.

A witness said the park was full at the time of the incident and members of the public were seen observing the incident as the girl was airlifted to the closest hospital.

Robert Piper a photographer said: “I saw the ambulance arriving. They were circling for a few minutes and then landed. There were some members of the public and moments later some police cars arrived as well.

The paramedics went over and started attending the girl and she was then transferred to an ambulance and then to the nearest hospital. The helicopter left after 16.20pm”.

A London Ambulance Server spokesperson said: “We were called at 15:18pm today (24th October) to Bushy Park, Hampton Court Road.

We sent an ambulance crew and incident response officer and dispatched London’s Air Ambulance to the scene. We treated a child for a leg injury and took her to hospital by ambulance as a priority”.
