Richmond police officers who went ‘above and beyond’ honoured at ceremony
Richmond’s police officers received recognition this week for their efforts to go above and beyond their call of duty over the past year.
The South West Base Command Unit (BCU) commendation ceremony saw officers awarded for their exceptional service.
Below are the stories that saw the police receive those awards:
Rebecca Pattni, Mental Health Liaison Nurse
She attended a traffic collision in Twickenham and found the casualty suffering from a cardiac arrest.
Pattni assisted CPR without hesitation.
PC Prichard, PC Tomkins, PC Chander & PC O’Doherty
The officers attended to a Teddington woman who was suffering from a cardiac arrest.
They performed CPR until the London Ambulance Service arrived to take over and their swift action saved the woman’s life.
Both PCs managed to rescue a female who was threatening to jump from the top of a multi-story car park.
They exercised patience, empathy and communicated with the female and managed to save her.
