Richmond College Student Creates PPE Equipment For NHS

Ben Grace, an engineering student at Richmond College has been doing his part to support key workers by creating PPE parts using his 3D printer at home.

He had joined 3DCROWD.UK to use his 3D printer to help the cause.  He’s been helping out for about 2 weeks and has now become one of the local coordinators for West London. He organises local hubs so that makers like himself can bring PPE parts for them to be assembled and given to the front line.

3D CROWD were one of the first organisations to respond to the PPE shortage and has continued to grow from a little group to over 6,000 volunteers.

Currently, 39,000 face shields are going to be delivered to the frontline, with more parts still being made.

Richmond College are extremely proud of Ben.
