Enjoy A Friday Night Takeaway With The Railway

This family run pub is open every Friday night and every Sunday lunch to make sure your taste buds are satisfied.

This time has been increasingly hard on everyone, especially pub and restaurant owners. The Railway have had to furlough all their staff and their area managers are offering to volunteer on the Friday and Sunday to make sure you all get some amazing grub.

Support or local business and enjoy an amazing meal this weekend. Since opening this delivery service they’ve had a good response and are now producing over 300 take away Fish & Chips every Friday night and 150 Sunday Roasts.

However, they discovered that there are a lot of elderly people whom have no support or family locally, so they rely on these 2 hot meals to be delivered to them every Friday and Sunday. Their Head Chefs wife has even now been roped in, to help deliver these.

So this is what the TAKE AWAY service provides every Friday:

Fish Shack Night 5pm to 9pm

Beer Battered Fresh Cornish Fish with hand cut chips £9 (normally Hake or Cod)

  • Crispy Calamari & Chips
  • Home Breaded Scampi & Chips
  • Beer Battered Halloumi & Chips
  • Homemade Pea Puree & Tartare Sauce

Get your orders in before a Friday as their phone does not stop ringing on a Friday from 9am.

Orders must be in before 12pm as understandably, they have to start getting ready.

Sunday Lunch has been so popular. They are offering their Roast Sharing Boards as well as Individual portions from 12pm to 6pm, available for collection or delivery for the elderly or self isolating.

They’re also making their famous Sticky Toffee Pudding as well as a weekly changing extra dessert, due to people requesting desserts.

Their taps are back on and are offering Premium Lager to Take away at £4 per pint.  Also, have cakes, crisps & nuts, as well as weekly Cocktails to take away.

You must pre-order so they can get enough stock in place.
