Teddington Swim Club Member Swam Across The English Channel
Earlier this month Donna Nicholas, a member of the Teddington Swim Club swam across the English Channel. On August 13th she completed this swim with an amazing time of 13 hours 23 minutes.
Not only did Donna complete this amazing task but she’s also been busy during this time taking care of people as a senior nurse.
The Swim Club have mentioned how Donna was on track to do the swim in July but due to lockdown prevented her from doing any training and it was only once restrictions eased, she was able to continue her preparation.
She had to spend time dousing herself into cold water to get herself used to the temperature of the ocean.
Even though this pandemic has halted many dreams and goals, it’s good to see some people haven’t given up and still are trying their hardest.
