Scammers Using Card Machines At Carparks
Being able to use your card at a carpark machine is pretty convenient, especially since not a lot of people like carrying cash around. However, scammers are now taking advantage of the situation and using carpark machines around Teddington to syphon money.
The Teddington ward neighbourhood police team have been using social media to spread the word about these scammers
People need to be aware of their surroundings when at these machines and keep caution when a stranger is near them. make sure to maintain a certain amount of distance and your personal information is protected.
The police have gone to twitter to announce “we have had a number of scams in Teddington and Richmond Borough regarding the use of credit/debit card payments at parking machines.”
