Lynde House Residents Have All Received First Covid-19 Vaccine Jabs

A lot of optimism from Richmond care home after receiving the first round of the Coronavirus vaccine.

Staff and residents at Barchester’s Lynde House, near Richmond Bridge, led the way against the fight against COVID-19 last week.

Dr Flynn administered vaccines from Hampton Wick Surgery to residents at the care home, staff had been given the vaccine before Christmas.

Resident John, 87, said: “I am so pleased to be given the vaccine. It will help to keep us safe”.

Residents will receive a follow-up injection at a later date, likely between 3 and 12 weeks after the first.

General Manager, Alison McIntosh, added:

“We’ve had a year like no other and the vaccine feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Dr Flynn visits the home every week to see residents so they know him well, they felt comfortable and reassured at all times so we are so grateful for his support.”
