Local Artists Auctioning Artwork To Raise Money For Park Lane Stables

Two local artists are auctioning their artwork to raise funds for Park Lane Stables.

Kate Winskill and Raph Thomas, from Richmond, have created pictures of Park Lane Stables’ ponies to help raise money to keep the premises open.

In January it was announced that Park Lane stables, which specialises in lessons for people with disabilities is due to close unless they can raise £1million.

An application by the Teddington Society to list the site as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) was recently approved by Richmond Council, which gives added legal protection to the cause.

However, the community are keen to raise money for the cause.

Kate’s company, 1of1 Design, has selected a few pieces for online bidding, where some of the money goes towards keeping the ponies local.

Of every artwork 10% will be donated to the stables, excluding those from clearance, by making a note in ‘special instructions’ at checkout.

Kate said: “If you love horses and want to brighten up your lockdown walls, these pieces give you to chance to support a local amenity and brighten your life.”

The artist is making a limited edition print available at a special price of £65 (normally £79) to supporters of the stables.
