Teddington Station Ticket Office to Close

Teddington Station ticket office is to shut down in line with other major closures announced today, we can exclusively reveal

A poster announcement outside the station today (wed) carried the headline “Proposed change to Ticket Offices.”

It adds: “It is proposed that ticket office windows at this station will close with staff moving to other station areas, where they are better placed to help customers buy tickets, provide expert travel advice, information and assistance for customers.”

According to the notice the proposal “forms part of plans to modernise the railway and bring it more in line with modern consumer expectations.

“It reflects significantly reduced usage of ticket offices over the past decade as customers move to alternative, more convenient ways of buying tickets.”
