The stables and the Riding For the Disabled charity (RDA) were nominated as the partner charity for the coin toss by the Chair of the All England Club Ian Hewitt and his wife Jenifer.

Philippa, 27, stood between the two finalists at the net on the world-famous Centre Court and tossed the coin watched by a global TV audience of over 1 billion. She gave a cheeky thumbs up shortly before the match started at 2pm.

Philippa and her family enjoyed a tour of the Clubhouse and lunch in the Competitors’ Restaurant before the match.

Park Lane Stables Founder and manager, Natalie O’Rourke MBE describes the stables as “a place of kindness, where we want people to leave happier than when they arrive.”

Philippa has been part of the stables for 15 years and plays an important role in inviting and welcoming new people and organising social events.

Natalie added: “Philippa is amazing. She is a great ambassador because a parent of a child with additional needs looks at Philippa and just sees that the future’s so bright. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our family.”

Natalie drove a campaign to raise £1million to save the stables which attracted support from all over the world as well as the late Queen Elizabeth.
