The familiar and popular FARA for Kids charity shop in Teddington is up and running just a week after the closure of the previous premises across the road next to Marks & Spencer.
The short move was made on schedule and was busy from the start on Sunday.
The charity, which has two other local outlets in Broad Street, needed bigger premises to cope with the level of donations from the local community, especially with items such as buggies, prams, scooters and high chairs.
The old shop across the road was closed down the week before as the lease was due to expire and is is up for sale with an asking price of £850.000 including residential accommodation.
A spokesperson for FARA told Teddington Town: “We’re always hugely grateful for stock donations and the generous support of the local Teddington community.”
