MAN FINED £650 FOR DRIVING THROUGH BUSHY PARK
A driver who claimed he did not see the No Entry signs on Chestnut Avenue in Teddington’s Bushy Park was today found guilty in his absence at Ealing Magistrates court.
The un-named man was fined a total of £650 and given 3 points on his licence.
A trial to close Chestnut Avenue to vehicle traffic between Teddington Gate and Hampton Court Gate has now been made permanent.
By closing this link, the Royal Parks says it is creating a new park space for visitors within the centre of the park and eliminating all commuting motor vehicles from Bushy Park.
It is understood that the wooden tubs of flowers blocking the through route and No Entry signs are being reviewed because of cycle accidents and frequent breaches of the barrier by other vehicles.
