The crowdfunding campaign by Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club is open for just TEN more days and is aiming to reach its £20.000 target.
A staggering total of £15.680 has been raised as of today following the devastating fire overnight on September 6th which totally destroyed the pavilion in Bushy Park. That represents 78% of the target.
Police are treating the fire as suspected arson.
The fire left all the sports teams which use the grounds, known locally as The Wick, without essential facilities like toilets, changing rooms and showers.
It is hope that the £20.000 will be enough to acquire temporary portakabins to provide facilities for all participants including youngsters.
The Club said: “Our crowdfunder page is open for another 10 days and we still have some way to go to hit our target.
“All money will be used for temporary buildings so we can get sport back on at The Wick asap. Any help would be hugely appreciated.”
