LOCAL MP PAYS TRIBUTE TO TEDDINGTON COUNCILLOR
Local MP Munira Wilson tonight paid this tribute following the death of Teddington’s campaigning local Lib Dem councillor Martin Elengorn.
She said: “Martin Elengorn faithfully served the residents of Teddington for over 40 years on the council. He was absolutely passionate about climate change and the impact it will have on children and young people.
“Never afraid to speak his mind and ruffle a few feathers, I will especially miss his wicked sense of humour.
“I will always be grateful for his wisdom and expertise – not least his encyclopaedic knowledge of planning and elections – and his support for me personally, both as a fresh-faced councillor 17 years ago, as well as more recently as MP.
“My thoughts and prayers are with all his loved ones at this difficult time.”
