AMAZING PARK RUN TURN OUT WITH 1600 TAKING PART IN BUSHY PARK
The last Parkrun before Xmas in Bushy Park attracted over 1600 people who ran, jogged and walked around the park, many wearing festive outfits, on a mild but windy morning.
Julie and Nigel were Santa’s Little Helpers this morning (aka. volunteer co-ordinators). They had 70 little elves to look after and assign roles so they were very busy (but not as busy as they’re going to be on Christmas Eve)
Out of the impressive field 218 were first timers and 134 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 118 different clubs took part.
Local Olympic 1500 metre hopeful Jake Wightman, who won Gold in the 2022 World Championships was the first to finish in a brilliant time of 14:52,
