RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL REF WAYNE BARNES IS SPORTEDD’S NEXT GUEST
World Cup final referee Wayne Barnes will be the special guest at next week’s latest SporTedd event at the Wharf restaurant in Teddington
Wayne, who lives locally in Twickenham, hung up his boots after a long and distinguished career as a rugby union referee and resumed his career as a barrister.
His appearance will come next Wednesday three days before the Six Nations competition resumes with just Ireland and England unbeaten.
Wayne will offer his unique insights alongside former England star Rob Andrew MBE, former fly-half from the Will Carling era, when he won 71 caps for England and five for the British and Irish Lions.
Last Sunday Judy Murray CBE was the special guest at The Wharf and over £3000 was raised.
SporTedd raises money for local sport-themed projects across the Richmond Borough and has donated over £80.000 yo more than 40 projects since it was launched. If you are interested in joining or attending events go to www.sportedd.co.uk
