The Flying Cloud Cafe, which offers fantastic views over the River Thames at Teddington Lock, is now reopened for business.

Cafe owner Justine Broome has added cheese savoury muffins to her usual offerings of homemade Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle and chocolate cakes as well as excellent coffee and soft drinks.

The Ferry Road cafe is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm and regulars will be delighted to be able to choose from a colourful range of new chairs as well as the unrivalled views over the river, Teddington bridge and the harbour.

The cafe, popular with dog walkers and cyclists,  hit the national headlines three years ago when a minke whale got stranded next to the cafe and TV cameras descended on the cafe to get their footage.

Justine: “We are delighted to be back in business and welcoming new customers as well as our regulars from previous years and hopefully we offer something for everyone whether it’s our delicious slices of your favourite cake or a light lunchtime snack as well as first class coffee and unique views of the river.”

Visitors can expect to access the cafe in the normal way despite extensive works to reinforce and repair on the nearby Bridge and the work which is due to begin on the approach ramp.
