INSIDE THE MIND OF A TEDDINGTON TAROT CARD READER, CLAIRVOYANT AND PSYCHIC MEDIUM
To many people it’s mumbo jumbo but for others, clairvoyants, psychics or mediums or those who claim to be in touch with the mysterious spiritual world provide important much-valued support and reassurance to those who have lost loved ones or face turmoil in their personal lives.
Teddington-based Fran Tarot lives in this eerie world and see hundreds of clients providing them with predictions of what the future holds by reading tarot cards, which she first learned she had a gift to understand when she was in her 20’s.
Here in a rare Q and A interview with Teddington Town in which she maintains confidentiality and discretion about her clients, she throws on a light on and offers a fascinating insight into a world most of us just do not understand or are too scared to confront….
Q. Many people are sceptical about clairvoyants and psychics, can you explain how you can tell the future using tarot cards?
Every aspect of my answers is very dependent on whether people believe in the afterlife. Because all my abilities come from the spirit world. Apparently, I have around 200 to 300 spirit guides working with me in the spirit world. I also have been told l have spirit guides who when they were on the earth plain, were all extremely good at telling the future, working with me while doing readings. So if you do not believe in the spirit world it would be easy to think what I am saying is total rubbish!! The tarot cards are a brilliant tool to help me see into every aspect of a person’s life the individual cards almost ‘talk’ to me about my client in great detail.
Q. You say that you knew from a very early age that you had these particular skills – can you explain how you realised this?
There were two incidents that made me realise l had definite psychic abilities when I was young. I did foresee a friend dying. I was around 27 or 25 and I was having lunch with him in central London and I looked at him and suddenly it was like the world was sucking in past him. My mind went ‘You’re going to be dead in a month’s time.’ And I felt this big ball inside my head – smashing each side of my head. It was all very, very disturbing. A month later l was watching the 9 o’clock news and saw my friend had been murdered outside a nightclub I literally shot up in my chair, I sort of screamed out. The other incident I was 27 and I was holding my baby nephew in my arms and I definitely heard my grandmother who had passed say ‘he’s bonny isn’t he?’
I’ve always had a deep fondness for tarot cards. I bought my first deck in the 80s, and I am still using the same deck for my readings. My psychic career basically all started with myself reading tarot for friends and family, that’s when it came to my notice that I had true psychic abilities. Then I started my career in advertising as an art director for twenty years or so. And again, I used to know certain things about people in the agency. Later I had a tenant, who was very interested in tarot and l would do tarot on her, and she thought I was very good, and she mentioned a certain tarot phone line that was looking for readers.
I didn’t think I could do it over the phone, it just seemed strange, but I did an interview with them and I passed with flying colours, after a while they told me that I was the best tarot card reader in the company.
I started to really notice that I had the gift, and I could contact the spirit world as well. At around the same time I dedicated myself to a tarot reading course. It was really interesting, sort of a natural progression. I also thought to myself if you are any good as a psychic you must start your own company which thankfully l did.
Q. You are based in Teddington, do you have many clients, who live locally? What kind of services do they normally want?
My clients phone me from all over the world as my reviews are top notch and all 100 percent genuine. They all want the same service tarot and mediumship to help with various problems which I give guidance and advise on with accurate character descriptions and predictions. There is only one service I provide which is reading tarot and the use of mediumship talking to my clients loved one’s who have passed over they to me are the ‘icing on the cake’ as they really help with people’s problems in great depth.
Q. Do you always tell the truth to your clients even if it is very sad or upsetting news? How do people react?
I am very careful with bad news, say for example, if a spouse is having an affair I would not go there, so may say something like ‘he’s very funny with his phone or do you trust him?’ – a sort of small hint. In the main my readings are very truthful, because spirit is truthful with me and I convey that honesty to my clients in my readings. I have a theory that God in his wisdom put people like myself on the earth to comfort people when people passed but stipulated there must be no b……t as there is so much on the earth plain and I convey that honesty.
Q. It’s probably a silly question but lots of people will want to know. If you can predict the future why can’t you predict the lottery numbers?
Tarot/mediumship does not work like that at all. It’s all designed to help people with real problems, nothing to with personal gain. There is a real moral code surrounding tarot. Some religious people think it’s the ‘devil’s work’ but l always say it can’t be because l help so many people! A lot of people think tarot can wave a magic wand, it does not but it does give guidance and reassurance.
Q. Lots of people may want to contact loved ones who have passed away, do you advise them this could be upsetting?
No, not all spirit always talk with love, care and affection, in other words spirit loves to talk. I work very closely with spirit and if people are against this l usually give a refund. Spirit can stop readings if it does not align with their religious beliefs. In the main my clients love my contact with spirit.
Q. Can you give some examples of where your unusual predictions have come true?
When I do face to face and a person has had a reading with me before I always ask if anything came true? One client said yes, that’s why I am back! Her story really blew me away as I told her she was going to meet an extremely rich man after her divorce and she said she has met him. I started to talk to spirit and they conveyed to me the rich man was being ‘looked after’ by a major archangel. She said that’s funny as he had survived two horrendous car crashes in which both cars were right offs and he walked away without a scratch and in one of the incidents he felt a ‘presence’ sitting next to him in the car. Then spirit revealed to me it was Archangel Michael! In truth many of my clients tell me my predictions come true for them.
Q. What’s the difference between an astrologer like Mystic Meg and what you do? Can you explain?
I used to be very into astrology with quite a good understanding of the planetary positions of when a person is born to give very accurate character descriptions. What I do is very different as I deal with past, present and future using the cards and my mediumship abilities talking to loved ones who have passed..
Q. Is it right you can do these readings through phone calls and video recordings without even meeting a client?
Yes, I just need the energy of a person l am reading for which comes through on a video call, the same as face to face..
Q. You say you can predict the future aspects of business, finance, family and love matter. Is there one area that is easier to predict than others?
No all subject matters are all equally the same in terms of ease to make predictions on.
Q. What is the main reason people for consultations?
These for me are the main reasons clients seek out readings. Will My Man Return? Will l find love, big work decisions, relationship break-ups or affairs, house moves, legal matters, child custody and health issues is a very big one.
Q. You say that a piece of personal jewellery can sometimes help you with your visions, how does that work?
I use a method called psychometry which entails feeling a person’s jewellery which gives me insights in that person’s life and events.
Q. Have you been in ‘touch’ with anyone famous on the other side?
Two other famous spirits I have encountered are Lord Nelson and Joan of Arc. Joan of Arc also admitted being gay and that explains why she liked men’s clothing and in the end it cost her her life. Lord Nelson conveyed he hated cleaning but had an army of servants keeping his ships and home spotless. If it wasn’t the poor servants would be thrown into rat infested jails as punishment. He admitted that he would be thrown in jail himself if he did that in these times.
