‘INCREDIBLE’ GCSE RESULTS AT TEDDINGTON SCHOOL

“Spectacular” GCSE results for Teddington School

 

Teddington School announced today (thurs) that it was ‘proud’ to announce another ‘spectacular’ set of GCSE results.

Paul Grills, Headteacher, told Teddington Town:  “Our students have embraced the core values of Teddington School as they have persevered through the challenges of exams and dedicated themselves to their learning.

“We are proud of their incredible academic achievements but mostly for the upstanding members of society they have become.”

“We are grateful for the unwavering support from our families, staff and governors, whose encouragement has been instrumental in our students’ success.

“While it is bittersweet to see our students leave, we are confident that they are well-prepared for the exciting opportunities and challenges that lie ahead and look forward to many of them returning to our sixth form.”

Results were strong across the board, yet some individual subject areas shone.

The English department secured 88% 4+ grades, with 27% getting grades 7-9. The Maths department also achieved 86% 4+ grades, with 37% being awarded grades 7-9.

Standout results from other subject areas include Physics with 97% 4+, Biology with 96% 4+, Drama with 95% 4+, and Chemistry with 94% 4+.

A number of departments also gained excellent grades at the highest levels, such as: Spanish with 90% 7-9, Music with 80% 7-9 and Physics with 61% 7-9.

Head of Year 11, Jess Mead commented, “As the Head of Year 11 at Teddington School, I am immensely proud of our students’ remarkable achievements in their GCSE examinations.

“Their dedication and resilience have been evident in their focus and participation in lessons, revision sessions and mock examinations.

“My thanks go to our supportive staff, families, and governors.

“We are confident that our students are well-prepared for the future and will continue to excel in their endeavours.

“We look forward to welcoming many of our students back for sixth form to continue with their education.”

Highlights from individual students include Finn Smithers with 999999988, Thea Ratnayake with 999999987, and Sophia Marsh with 999999988.
