TEDDINGTON IN FLOWER SET TO BLOSSOM IN 2025
The popular community open garden event Teddington In Flower is set for a comeback on 18 May 2025, The Teddington Society has announced.
The event has been a centrepiece of the Society’s calendar for many years and, when last held in April 2023, it was a great success, providing a memorable experience for visitors and raising over £3,500 for charity.
It may seen a long way off but the Society needs to start planning now and wants to know if you have a garden in the area which you would like to share for an afternoon.
Or, do you have a Teddington neighbour or a friend with a garden that would interest others?
Or, have you spotted a Teddington garden with kerb appeal that you could recommend?
Garden owners do not need to be Teddington Society members. The only requirement is that gardens need to be accessible via a side or back gate, not through the house.
Last year there were 12 wonderful spaces but the Teddington Society is hopeful of even more next year representing the whole of Teddington, big ones, small ones, shady, sunny, exotic, gravel, vegetable, wild (very trendy), courtyard, etc, etc… real gardens!
Teddington Society said: “They don’t have to be show gardens. If they are loved and cared for, that’s just perfect. It’s all about exchanging planting and planning ideas, successes, mishaps and celebrating the individuality we all bring to cultivating our plots.”
If you can answer yes or maybe to any of the three questions above, please do get in touch with Jo Nicholds (gardens@tedsoc.org.uk) for a chat or to ask any questions about the event and she would be delighted to hear from you.
