COUNCIL LEADER SUPPORTS TED LASSO RETURN
Richmond Borough Council’s leader, Cllr. Gareth Roberts has joined the campaign to encourage Ted Lasso to return to film a fourth series in and around Richmond, it was revealed today.
Many episodes of the three-part series were filmed at locations in the Borough including Richmond Green, Richmond Hill, The Prince’s Head pub, Richmond riverside and Twickenham.
Local retailers have already expressed their enthusiasm for a Ted Lasso return because of the amounted of extra business generated by curious tourists.
Cllr. Gareth Roberts told Teddington Town: “Everybody loves Ted Lasso and so many people, me included, will be delighted if these rumours are true.
”And of course it portrays Richmond and other parts of our borough in such a wonderful light – so much so that people now come from all over the world to visit the home of AfC Richmond.
“If producers decide to go ahead with more seasons of the show, of course we’d be delighted to welcome them back.
“Ted Lasso belongs in Richmond; it’s time to ‘Believe’ again!”
