Teddington’s popular Fish Bar was back in frying form tonight following its owner’s successful challenge against his landlord in court.

Owner John Charambolous was happy to be back behind the fish fryer in his apron serving up a fish dish to his regular customers.

Local resident and supporter Laura Cole said: “This has been a very positive outcome for John and we are all delighted.

“The result means the landlord has had to return the keys immediately to John enabling him to start trading again immediately.

“Even in this moment of relief for John, he directs all his thanks to the community and all those involved for standing side by side with him both literally and in spirit, this is how he has managed to cope and stay strong.

“He does want to add a personal acknowledgment of the support and advice given from Twickenham’s Constituency Parliamentary spokesperson Jonathon Hulley (Conservative) in enabling him to act swiftly to secure the initial injunction and pointing him to specialist property lawyers who he knows well.

“This is not the end of the saga. The legal process still continues and John will be doing his utmost to the best he can for his community to stay strong and continue the fight.”

Welcome back from Teddington Fish Bar
