RED ROSES BACK AT THE LENSBURY

England Women are back at The Lensbury this week as they prepare to face New Zealand – the first game at the newly-named Allianz Stadium.

John Mitchell’s side head into the fixture tomorrow (on Saturday 14th September(KO 2.30pm) following a win in their first warm-up game against France.

The Red Roses – the world’s number one team – take on the World Champion Black Ferns at the home of England Rugby for the first time since 2012.

Current captain Marlie Packer, vice-captain Natasha Hunt and centurion Emily Scarratt were all in the squad that day and will take to the field in the same head-to-head 12 years on.

Tickets for the match remain on sale at EnglandRugby.com/tickets, priced from £25 for adults, and £5 for juniors, with a crowd of over 40,000 set to be in attendance.

Saturday’s fixture will be the last game for the team before they travel to Vancouver for this year’s WXV 1 where they will once again face New Zealand, as well as Canada and the USA.

Head coach John Mitchell said: “Every occasion at Allianz Stadium is really important to us and we know we will have to earn the right to contest a final here in 2025. We want to play here on a consistent basis and every time we go out and play here, we want to perform. We want to do it for the girls.”
