DARREN BINGHAM BANNED FROM KNOCKING DOORS
A well-known and notorious man has been issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order following a series of offences across the whole of Surrey.
Darren Bingham, 44, of no fixed address has been issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order following a number of incidents of anti-social behaviour.
He was issued with the CBO after appearing at Guildford Crown Court on Saturday (21 September).
The order prevents him from knocking or calling on any door of a person unknown to him in England or Wales; from begging or attempting to beg in any public place in England or Wales; and from entering the county of Surrey.
Numerous complaints have been lodged with the police over the last three years after Bingham turned up their doorsteps and behaving in a menacing and intimidating manner.
Spelthorne Borough Commander, Matthew Walton, said “The offences exhibited by Bingham will not be tolerated and we hope that this provides the local community with some reassurance.
“I would like to thank the members of the public who helped us to secure this order and the officers and staff who worked so hard on this.”
At a recent police summit in Teddington police urged the public to be more proactive in reporting suspected crime which would better help them catch local criminals.
Breaches of the conditions of a CBO can lead to arrest. The police rely on members of the public to report this information and you can do so by calling 101 (always call 999 in an emergency). Any information you give will be treated confidentially
