STRICTLY FILMS PAUL MERSON IN TEDDINGTON
The BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing quietly filmed a short sequence in Teddington, it emerged today.
A small film crew slipped into Cambridge Road, Teddington to film former Arsenal and England footballer Paul Merson on his home ground.
Merson, who lives in Teddington is seen casually walking down the road near Cambridge Crescent where he heads a ball and is ambushed by his training partner Karen Hauer, who reminds him it is time for training.
In the first show last Saturday Merson, 56, was seen dancing to the famous England football theme, Vindaloo wearing a football style shirt and trousers with Strictly FC written down the side.
Despite winning big praise from the judges for his ‘entertaining’ performance his marks earned a 2, 4, 5 and 6 putting him at the bottom half of the league table after the first show.
Merson will be seen again on BBC TV tonight. The first contestant will be knocked out tomorrow night (sunday)
