‘Gentle and quiet’ one year old Bella

Kingston-based TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has made a heartfelt plea to find a new home for a one year old dog called Bella, who was rescued in Greece.

Mr Holmes told Teddington Town: “I would absolutely love to adopt beautiful Bella but my lack of movement just makes it impossible.”

Bella was found roaming in Greece by the co-founder of the charity K-9 Angels Pola Pospieszalska, who was on her honeymoon.

Co-founder Victoria Featherstone Pearce said: “Bella is around a year old and is now in foster in West Sussex where she is thriving.

“Bella is a gentle and quiet girl who’s very loving once she trusts. A semi-rural home would suit her as she can be quite a timid young lady and likes a quiet life.

“We would love to see her settled in her forever home soon. Could you open your home and heart to dear Bella?

“Bella was rescued from Greece where she was abandoned in a holiday resort. She was pregnant whilst being a pup herself and sadly lost her pups.

“She is a little timid and reserved to begin with but sweet and gentle. She loves her food and treats above all.

“She is thriving in her foster in West Sussex , enjoying calm country life and being close to the nature.

“She is great with older kids (children were the only people she allowed to pet her when she was stray) .

“Bella would like a home to call her own, ideally in the countryside but will do fine in quieter part of a city as well.

“She has never been around cars, buses and loud city life so would need a very careful introduction. She is spayed vaccinated and microchipped.”

Eamonn, who is a Patron of the charity, said: “Bella is beautiful, loving and friendly dog and deserves a a good home with a loving family. I am sure there is someone out there who can provide that.”

The well-known GB News TV presenter was devoted to his own rescue dog Maggie for 15 years and said the dog ‘changed his life’ but his increasing mobility issues have made it impossible for him to care for the dog.

The charity is in its 12th year and rescues dogs from all over the world. so far it has re-homed 1400 dogs, which have suffered from starvation or harm and now lead happy and healthy lives.

“Eamonn is the perfect patron for our charity and his love for dogs is clear to see. He feel in love with dear Bella,” added Victoria.
